This set is completely hand made and carved using the sgraffito technique.
This is the technique of painting several coats of underglaze on the damp clay item, then carving the glaze off to reveal the desired artwork. This is very intricate and takes many hours from start to finish.
Made from white stoneware clay, fired at 1260oc. Will last many lifetimes if treated well.
Hand made from quality food safe underglazes and glazed in a durable, shiny transparent glaze. Extremely durable, microwave and dishwasher safe, time and time again.
